Assessing effectiveness of growth monitoring and promotion (GMP) in improving nutritional status of children

BACKGROUND
This prospective cohort study is evaluating the effectiveness of World Vision Bangladesh’s (WVB) growth monitoring and promotion (GMP) program in improving growth and infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices among children under 2 years of age. This study uses a mixed-methods approach that follows an intervention group-children who are exposed to WVB-supported GMP services-and a comparison group-children who are exposed to usual GMP services but not supported by WVB.

OBJECTIVES
Examine the effectiveness of growth monitoring and promotion (GMP) in improving growth and infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices among children under 2 years of age in rural Bangladesh.
