This activity aims to build the capacity of junior researchers of icddr,b and health professionals of medical colleges, universities, and research institutes, in particular, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka Medical College (DMC), Dhaka Shishu Hospital, Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital, and BIRDEM on public health research and data interpretation. As part of this activity, STAT Readers forums are organized for junior health professionals of icddr,b on epidemiology, biostatistics and data science. In collaboration with BSMMU, the other part of the activity focuses on enhancing capacity of future health professionals on data analysis and thesis writing.
Since December 2019, a total of 692 participants attended 22 STAT Readers sessions. With BSMMU, RDM conducted 4 workshops on data analysis and thesis writing where more than 80 junior and mid-level health professionals attended.
