Secondary analysis of survey data (BDHS, BHFS, BMMS)

The RDM team has been providing technical assistance to the NIPORT in conducting national surveys, Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS), Bangladesh Health Facility Survey (BHFS), and Bangladesh Maternal Mortality and Healthcare Survey (BMMS), which provides vital information on health, health systems, and demographic situation in the country. This technical assistance includes support in developing survey methodology, reviewing, updating, and testing data collection tools, training data collectors, monitoring and ensuring quality in data collection (Health Facility Survey only), data analysis, report writing, dissemination, and policy discussions, as appropriate. The team is also carrying out further analysis of the national survey data, and engage in policy advocacy/discussions with policymakers to persuade national policy and practice so that identified monitoring and evaluation needs can be addressed to strengthen the health outcomes of the people of Bangladesh.
