Secondary analysis to understand the association between air pollution and adverse pregnancy outcomes

This secondary analysis was carried out to find the association between mothers’ exposure to different air particulate matter of aerodynamic diameter < 2.5µm (PM2.5) concentration and adverse pregnancy outcome such as preterm birth, low birth weight or their combination.

The study used two data sources: 1) Pregnancy history and outcome data from Maternal and Child Health Training Institute (MCHTI) at Azimpur, Dhaka for 2014-18, 4 years period, and 2) Air pollution data for the same period from Clean Air and Sustainable Environment (CASE) project run by Department of Environment (DoE), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
