Five year agenda setting workshop held

On June 5, 2017, a daylong workshop was held to set research agenda for the USAID’s RDM Activity to conduct implementation research within the project’s five year period. Particularly, this event focused on identifying possible evidence gaps and prioritizing research questions to assist in the effective implementation of the Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, Family Planning and Reproductive Health, Nutrition and TB related programs as proposed in the 4th Health Population and Nutrition Sector Program of Bangladesh.

This workshop was a part of an overarching step-by-step process for identifying research priorities for the RDM Activity that also included thorough desk review, brain storming sessions with icddr,b experts, and stakeholder interviews. The event brought together 109 participants including representatives from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), USAID, USAID implementing partners, development partners and icddr,b.
